DUNHILL Shell ODA SHS JSC [550] 120 Oversized Dunhill ODA 845 Shell Canadian in original box The 845 is Dunhill's oversized Canadian that has a full-sized Group 6 sized bowl, an especially flat oval shank, and a sensible mouthpiece that is ordinarily about a third the length of the whole pipe. This Shell is among the most popular finishes, and this outstanding specimen is pristine and like new in every regard, typical of all pipes smoked and collected by John Skellchock (see below). A California collector of primarily oversized English high-grades, he acquired his pipes in the 1960s and '70s and was known to smoke and maintain them meticulously. Almost every briar is still like new, with no surface wear, no toothmarks, a glossy stem and a crisp, clean rim. He favored English blends from Drucquer & Sons in Berkeley.
