This is the first of a collection of beautiful Victorian banquet lamps I will be selling on ebay, all coming from a private collector's estate. This one stands 25 1/4" high to top of shade and is in excellent original condition with no damage to any parts noted. The base is brass with a stepped square foot (5 1/4") and very nice patina. The font is slag glass with a deeply embossed grapes, grapevine, & leaf design and beginning in light pink at the bottom & rising to deep rose at the top. The burner appears to be complete and intact with dual knobs that both read, "British made". Other than that, I could find no other name or stamp anyw else on the lamp. The shade is gorgeous - 7" tall, and is deep pink at the top with a fluted rim turning to white frosted glass at the bottom. T is an elaborate etched design all around beginning from the top with a basket weave, zigzag greek key ribbon, floral & leaf design & another lacy ribbon. Complete with chimney. .
