I'm still going through the old Jewelry I purchased from a local estate sale of an Antique collector. This estate is just endless! She has collected jewelry from her travels for the past 50 years and I am passing on these treasures to you! I have just uncovered Fabulous Scandinavian pieces- one nicer than the next! is an Enormous STerling Art Moderne Pendant- looks like a Stingray! This piece is signed David Andersen Norway Sterling 925S and it hails from the 1950's. It is just Huge- with a high center with 4 bars of all openwork.......so sleek and 3 dimensional- a true Masterpiece of Norwegian artistry! The piece measures 3 1/4" tall by 2 3/4" wide and the center is 0ver 3/8" high! The bale is large and will work with a chain up to 1/2" wide- it will really make a Statement! It is in excellent condition with no damages -- some light surface wear from use- and it has original warm patina. IT really looks incredible on- it weighs a heavy 47.4 grams!. I have never come across another piece like this before! I have not cleaned or polished the piece, I will leave that up to you.
