Every baseball tells a story. And that is literally the case with this official National League (Feeney) ball signed by Hall of Fame outfielder Enos Slaughter in black ink on a side panel. The Cardinals great describes his famous play that ended the 1946 World Series vs. the Red Sox, during which his "mad dash" home on teammate Harry Walker's hit in the bottom of the ninth was the deciding play. Included in his storytelling is: "I scored from 1st base on Harry Walker op single to left center field beating s.s. Johnny Pesky throw home. I beat Red Sox in Series for the Cardinals win." The ball is in EX-MT condition and all writing on the ball is in Slaughter's hand and rates 8/10.
