WELCOME AND THANKS FOR STOPPING BY MY AUCTION ! This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION, so happy bidding! ITEM FOR SALE: Vintage hardcover children's book MERRY MOMENTS that was published by ERNEST NISTER, London and E.P. DUTTON & Co., New York, and printed in Bavaria. T is no publishing date in the book but it is inscribed on the front cover page with: Joe W. Taggart - March 12th 1904 (The front and back cover pages also have the name stamped on them.), so it's at least 102 years old. T are 6 full page color illustrations, 3 full page black & white illustrations and many 3/4 to 1/4 page black & white illustrations that are by EVELINE LANCE. The book has 19 pages (or 38 book pages) and is filled with titles such as: Merry Moments - How Dick Became a Cricketer - A Penny - The Train - Cecil's Ship - The Professor's Prize - The Artist - Soldier and Sailor - When Mother Came Home - The Story Hour - The Hunchback Fairy - The Magic Trumpet - The Gull's Nest - Penitence Plaster - Kitty's Opinions and Douglas's Dream. DIMENSIONS: Approximately 9-1/4" x 11-1/4" AGE: 1904 or approximately 102 years old. CONDITION: The center 4 pages have come loose from the center staples, t are 3 small (less than 1" in length) tears on the edges of 3 pages, light corner creases on the bottom page corners along with light dirt smudges on some pages. T is wear to the cover corners and light wear to the covers. Overall I would say the book is in very good condition for it's age and other than the loose center page is still tightly bound. A nice collectible children's book!Most of the items I'm selling have been purchased at estate sales, auctions and garage sales. They have been owned and treasured by others over the years and are rarely in mint condition. INSURANCE is buyers option but I would recommend it for your safety. USPS Insurance Rates: $1.35 for up to $50 of item's value, $2.30 for up to $100 of item's value, and an additional $1.05 for each $100 of item's value. I pack items very, very carefully but what I can't control is an item getting lost or broken in the mail. INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: Paypal payment preferred or International Money Orders in US funds.
