The performer shows the card case empty and then inserts the deck, except for the signed "Ambitious" card. The signed card is now inserted into the case on the bottom of the deck, face up (deck is face down,) and left protruding for half its length. The deck and case are clearly shown. T is no question in the minds of the audience that the signed card is face up at the bottom of the face down deck. Now, the magician tells the audience to watch closely.
