"Spider Web" Fan Table or Wall Mount 11 1/2" across cage x 10" across blades 13 3/8" high to top of cage x 7 1/2" length of base 10' 7" cord Model; 1005M Cast Iron Base, Steel Cage, Aluminum Blades, Chrome Rear Housing Bersted Mfg. Co., Fostoria, Ohio Great old "Eskimo" electric fan made by Bersted Mfg. Co. This unique old fan has a "Spider Web" style cage for the fan blades. It can be used on a desk or table, and it has an extra long cord with a notch in the bottom of the base so it can be mounted on a wall. It turns on with a toggle switch at the point of the rear chrome "bullet" housing, it has one speed, it works to spin the blades and there's a slight rattle when it's first turned on or off, the oscillating mechanism isn't working but the toggle switch only turns the fan on and off and there may be something else I'm supposed to do to make it oscillate, there's age/use wear to the surface including some corrosion and paint loss, and there are some dirty areas so it should be cleaned to look its' very best. I've just lightly wiped it off and will leaving all additional cleaning and any restoration up to the buyer's expertise. This item has been kept in a smoke free environment since it's been in my possession. I can't say how it was stored prior to that.
