ALASKA NATIVE ESKIMO ARTIFACT - Solid ivory sled runner section or line guide. oOne end is bevelled, which leads me to believe this artifact may have also been used as an adze or cutting tool. It was found on Saint Lawrence Island in the Bering sea coastal region of Alaska. It is circa Thule/Punuk period, 500 AD to 1700 AD. It came from the collection of a long time Alaskan artifact collector. Condition is great, with light engraving one one side, lashing holes intact, nice tool marks and awesome patina. It weighs 20 ounces, has great color and would be great as a collectable or jewlery making item. It measures about 14 1/4" long x 2" at the widest x 1 1/8" at the thickest. $8.50 priority s/h, paypal, m.o and checks accepted. I will combine or reduce s/h on multiple auction wins. Please see my other auctions for more native Alaska Eskimo artifacts, art and other cool stuff.
