Photo to the Left: This exquisite Art Deco glass globe belongs to a Robj of Paris Budoir Lamp. This lovely example is mottled red and dark blue glass. As you can see from the photo it is very muted and would make a lovely soft glow with a small light. Unfortunately the base (see additional photo) is not present but I'm sure one could be easily acquired or substituted. [ Photo to the right : Robj Lamp complete with wroght iron base for reference information (sold at Auction Boston, MA 2006, $500)]. This essence lamp of Paris (le brule parfum) France , 20 th Century is signed by the artist Robj, as seen in the closeup photograph, Ca. 1901-1940. The change in color shades is only due to either using or not using a flash. I try to get all details and color as accurate as I can. So if you have any questions please ask prior to bidding as all items are sold as is. Items like this one can be found on other antique sites around the network and they are selling well over this listed price. This globe measures appox: 5" across x 3" high with 1.5" at the opening. This lovely art deco piece is shaped like an early inkwell but sits upside down on the lamp base. The top has a small recessed area that you can barely make out on the light photo of the top of the globe. These have also been referred to as: LE BRULE PARFUM signed ROBJ à PARIS , and read more
