Nicole'sCreations Estate Sale Baby Dolls Background My mother and I started collecting baby dolls in 1999. When reborned baby dolls became popular, we auctioned cloth bodies that my mother sewed for full limbed reborns. We also auctioned baby dolls, both unaltered and moderately reborned.My interest in doll collecting declined in 2005, but my mother’s interest in creating reborn baby dolls flourished. My mother amassed a large collection of reborns she made herself as well as a few she purchased from reborn artists. Though her passion was reborned baby dolls, she also had a smaller collection of manufactured collectible baby dolls.After my mother’s passing in 2014, I set aside a few of her dolls as keepsakes for myself and family. Over the next months, I will be listing the remaining baby dolls from my mother’s collection. I hope to list dolls weekly. Doll Information Reborn Cheryl Webber 'Chase' sculpt Reborned by Sharon Bergstein of Momma B's Nursery *** This doll was purchased fully reborned by my mother. The purchase was directly from the reborn artist, not through resale. I have the reborn artist's name/company name, but I have no photos or a sales description from the original sale of the doll. ****** Delicate art doll for adult collectors. Not advised for children. *** Coloring Light, Caucasian. Note: Painting materials unknown as this doll was not painted by my mother. Has mottling and veining to mimic the appearance of a baby’s skin. Head and limbs have been textured to create a realistic appearance. Manicured finger nails. Manicured toe nails. Body Head and limbs made from vinyl. Arms are 3/4 length. Legs are 3/4 length. Jointed cloth body. Gathered bottom. Head connected with plastic cable tie. Limbs connected with plastic cable ties. Note: I am not sure what stuffing and weighting materials were used as this doll was not reborned by my mother. Signed by Sharon Bergstein of Momma B's Nursery. Length: 18 inches. Weight: 4 pounds, 12 ounces. Wears size newborn baby clothing. May fit certain size 0 baby shoes, but feet are smaller than standard 0. Size and proportions of a real baby. See tape measure and tennis ball comparison photo above. Hair Color: Medium brown. Material: Unsure, but feels like mohair. Installation: Hand rooted with about 4 to 10 hairs per plug. Unsure if the rooted hair has been glued down on the inside of the head. Unsure of the type of glue used if applicable. Eyes Color: N/A, sleeping. Lashes: Hand rooted with about 2 to 4 hairs per plug. Brows: Lightly painted. Clothing Will arrive dressed as a girl in a Little Wonders dress and bloomers, hair bow, and pacifier. Doll will arrive wearing a diaper and clothing photographed only. Props used in photographs are not included. Other Floppy head. Has a magnetic pacifier. The pacifier is one of the magnetic pacifiers I found that did not repel. I am not sure if the pacifier I am including with this doll is it's original pacifier. Has a magnetic hair bow. The bow is one of the magnetic bows I found that did not repel. I am not sure if the bow I am including with this doll is it's original bow. Certificate of Authenticity from Momma B's Nursery will be included. This doll was named "Nikolette" and was reborn on April 2, 2008. Environment Doll was displayed on a white laminate bookshelf in a smoke and pet free adult home. As such, the doll is in good condition. Fragrance Note: Doll was originally stored in a bedroom in my mother’s home. The clothing closets in this bedroom contained moth balls. Doll has been kept in my moth ball free home for several weeks. The doll did not smell like moth balls to me, but I have stored it with a Snuggle Blue Sparkle fabric softener sheet for 8 hours for good measure.
