I will be listing an entire estate of unique and unusual to the simple items. How is this Ironwood figurine made: From a simple pile of wood, the carver selects pieces that will show the highest grain, color and clarity of the wood. Cracked wood, or voids are cut away and used for smaller pieces.Once the carver selects these raw pieces, he uses his eyes and talent to envision the animal or object that will best show the quality and texture of the wood.
