This auction is for a most lovely antique French Edwardian era lace trim. It is in a shade of weight and is the finest, gossamer-like lace, so lightweight and airy. It is perfect for fairy dolls and of course, regular dolls, to be used as an embellishment for a very special gown of high-couture. It gathers so easily and is so delicate and feminine, that one will really be pleased. It has very fine embroidery throughout; the diamond-shaped motifs at the bottom have a very fine thread inside and none of the threads are broken. T are no stains, tears or rips aside from two minor pinholes toward the top of the lace which are not even noticeable. T is also the tiniest, minor tear at the bottom of the lace's edge, which can be repaired. Please note that it may appear coarser in texture from the photos, but it is not; it is very, very delicate in appearance. Also note that it is white and not ivory. This measures approximately 37 3/4" x 1.5" - 4 1/8" (tiny motif at top) embroidered portion only. S&H is $2.25
