This auction is for a very lovely and rare-to-find antique French early 1900s white sheer silk ribbon, which is so etal in appearance and weight. It is like air and feels like nothing and is so fine and delicate. It has sweet velvet-type tiny flowers and swirly designs throughout. This is almost like the finest silk gauze, if you can imagine, and you can feel the silk in its fibers. This should be handled very delicately, since it IS delicate. This does not mean that it is deteriorating or brittle; it is just so thin and fine, it must be handled with much care, since it could tear easily. This is in very good condition aside from some minor pinholes throughout, which do not interfere with its use for your project. This textile in particular would be wonderful for fairy dolls; I can just see wings made out of it, that is how magical looking it is in appearance. This is a must for the collector of the unique.
