An antique c1880 Etruscan Revival sterling silver carved Carnelian Minerva head pin. This is the same Minerva head used in the marking of French silver which leads me to believe the pin is of French origins. T are no apparent silver or makers marks on the pin but it has been acid tested and is fully guaranteed to be at least 925(sterling) in content. The pin measures 1 1/2" x 1 3/16". The Carnelian Minerva is 7/8" x 3/8". The pin is in very nice condition with no dings or dents. The Carnelian is perfect with no cracks. Excellent detail. The pinback fastener is a little bent but works properly. The antique C style clasp has a little chamber that the pin snaps into. Pretty piece for the right girl. Starts low with no reserve.
