Paul Robinson started ETTA KETT for King Features Syndicate in December 1925. Running both daily and Sunday, the feature was intended as a guide to good manners as in etiquette. It turned into a typical teen-aged girl strip in the space of a few months. This large piece of original art, measuring 19"x28", was created and rendered on 3-ply Strathmore Bristol using pen and permanent India ink. It is dated September 24, 1939. It has some staining in the first and third panels, but overall is quite clean. Paul Robinson was the only artist on the strip which was discontinued following the creator's death in November 1974, just short of its half-century mark. This is a unique opportunity to own a great example of one of the great long-running strips from the past.
