ETX-90 GoTo computerised Telescope. This is a Maksutov style telescope which enables high magnifications. The optics are in perfect condition and give Razor sharp high contrast images. Magnifications of x140 are usual and x160 - x180 are regularly attainable on good nights. Magnifications with the two eyepieces included are x50 and x125. There is also a visual back included so that the scope can be used straight through, for imaging or to use with a diagonal etc. The Autostar hand set is included and the added benifit of an angled 90 degree finder scope. Views of the Moon are awe inspiring. It’s possible to see craterlets within the larger flat floored crater Plato. This demonstrates the ability of this remarkable telescope as these craterlets are on the visual limit of this size of scope. I’ve taken many pictures with this telescope, both from the computerised mount and as it is relatively easy to remove from the mount, transferred on to my EQ-3 mount. My best picture of Saturn ever was with this Telescope. Deep sky observing is also outstanding. I have seen numerous Galaxies and nebula, for instance the Crab Nebula, the Ring Nebula, M2 Globular cluster, the Andromeda Galaxy and most spectacular is the Orion Nebula.
