This is a stunning vintage 1930's Evans ivory guilloche enamel and gold mesh compact purse with a pretty gold wristlet and a lovely rose design on lid.I honestly believe this piece was used only one or two times. The wristlet has never been attached and I'm not even sure how it is attached, so it will be packed inside (as it was when I purchased it).The guilloche is in near perfect condition. The beige lining is also in mint condition. The shiny gold mesh has no damage at all.It has a double compact inside the lid, with an empty covered powder compartment. Has original powder puff, marked "Evans" but one side of the tiny band is unattached and the side of the puff you would use has some beige staining, as if it had been used to powder a nose all those many years ago. The mirror is clear and reflective. There is some discoloration on the metal hinged lid holding the powder puff. (See photos.) Behind the excellent condition mirror is a round paper with information on Mayfair Rouge. Under that is another piece of paper and the never-used blush. All hinges and closures work perfectly and the purse is a stunning piece to use or add to your collection.
