EVIL ERNIE - RARE PAINTED RESIN MODEL - PSYCHO ZOMBIE 1990 Primitive plastic from beyond the grave! It's "Evil Ernie," the psycho-boy zombie who's become a pop culture icon through his violent exploits and murderous killing sprees on the printed page. Although Ernie made his comic book debut in 1991, this rare hunk of resin dates back a year before that. It was produced in 1990 as an extremely limited garage kit by Michael Burnett Productions, offered , professionally painted, ready to display. Despite the fact that the model was officially licensed by Brian Pulido (Ernie's creator), it saw only a handful of castings at the time, and is now a long lost legend that few kit collectors today have ever seen. Burnett's tribute is an entire diorama, depicting a maniacal Ernie in a graveyard littered with skulls (no doubt, those of his many victims). The model is cleanly cast in solid off-white resin, and properly pegged together from within for archival stability on display. It's finely finished in authentic Ernie colors, with high attention given to every gory detail. And it's a large piece, measuring 14 3/4" tall x 11" wide x 9" deep, including Ernie's cemetery display base. Securely pegged at both feet, he is not glued in place, allowing for safer shipping. Also included is Burnett's original full-color box and Ernie's four-page, read more
