Here is a really nice little NC Pottery jug that was made in the early 1920's. It is not signed, but it was made by Charlie Teague. Charlie was working with his brother, Duck Teague, at the family shop in Hemp (now Robbins) at that time. In 1927, Charlie was hired to be the first full time potter at Jugtown. Charlie was something of an interesting character, but he was one heck of a good potter. He was only at Jugtown for about 5 years before being fired. Charlie had a serious drinking problem, and died at the age of 41. This little jug is just 3.5" high by 3" in diameter, so it's a "Sample Size" rather than a true miniature. It has a small glaze skip on one side, but no damage or any touch ups. In the last photo, it is shown beside a small pitcher that he made, but that is listed separately. You are bidding for the jug ONLY here. Jug ships USPS Priority Insured Mail.
