For your consideration today is this excellent plus vintage later 1940's American Flyer S scale Baltimore and Ohio train box car with original factory box that is marked 633-R, plus an inspector's voucher! International Buyers : This auction has a $1.50 Handling Fee for International buyers since we have to insure this lot, IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THIS, DO NOT BID , and PLEASE WAIT FOR THE INVOICE BEFORE PAYING SO THAT THE CORRECT ONLINE SHIPPING RATES AND HANDLING FEE CAN BE ADDED IN!! ~~ Description: We are selling this very nice vintage 1940's to early 50's American Flyer 633-R Baltimore & Ohio Box Car that comes with the original factory box as well as the Inspector's Vouchure paper! This neat train car is in S scale and includes a very nice looking Flyer Trains box, the car measures 7 7/8" long including the points or peaks at each end, and is right around 1.75" wide. The car has only very minor and light signs of being used, it remains in great shape structure wise as I cannot find any cracks or chips, each side has a sliding door and latch that remain in fine shape, each side has the little peg so that you can latch the doors shut, the peaks at each top end remain nice, as does the brake wheel and stem. ~~ One thing to note is that the camera can show red colors somewhat brighter than actual, in this case, some of that is in affect, but this is still a very clean, bright car that does have some very nice original luster! ~~The printing on the car remains very nice with one side being even better, there are some spots with dust remains yet that need a deeper cleaning, there are no big scratches or dings into the material, there are scattered light marks or scuffs that are showing mostly under a bright light, the metal track parts and latch for each door do have some surface rust spots or loss of luster, nothing close to being an issue, the bottom plate remains sound and shows more of the surface rust spotting as well as some general light marks, very sound with no dents, the wheels and truck assembly's are all in very good shape, the bakelite (I think the hitch parts are this material) do have white residue on them but they are still in fine shape as well. ~~The box remains in great shape structure wise with nothing torn off or missing, the seal on the bottom that meets the side panel is loose so it needs regluing but nothing is torn or damaged at all, it also has a very nice surface for most areas so really looks like it has been in storage and not handled much at all, the end panels are nice, one has a crack to the surface where the flap bends but nothing bad, one side panel does have the dust grime as well as some spatter on it as the side looks like it was the only side exposed during storage. The rest are very clean and have that deep, rich color that Gilbert American Flyer used for these boxes!
