Up f or sale is an excellent condition and hard to find WWII Australian made example of the British Mk II steel helmet -- the bales that connect the chin strap are both stamped "Mk II" and "1942" date. Australian examples of the MK II were noted for having a raw edge like WWI production MK I helmets and the frame that holds the liner together is made from a rubberized fabric material. Helmet appears to not have been issued and has standard scuffs to the outside finish from storage -- the paint easily checks in at 90+%. The liner is nice and supple and the web MK II chin strap is clearly of Australian manufactured webbing. Size of the helmet is approximately 6 7/8. This is a superb matched example of an Australian made helmet -- these are far harder to find than British or Canadian made lids. Would be tough to upgrade! It is perfect for the advanced WWII British/Commonwealth collector/reenactor. Buyer pays all shipping costs. International bidders ask for postage quote before bidding. Guaranteed 100% original with a 14 day inspection; refund of purchase price less postage if not satisfied. Payment by PayPal (preferred) or personal check (personal checks must clear before an item is sen). See my other WWII item for sale and prior feedback.
