Presented for sale an EXCELLENT RARE ANKRA SEKUNDEN-STOPPER 15 JEWEL nickel Pkt Watch - 1920-35 General Description This is a rare and unusual ANKRA SEKUNDEN-STOPPER pocket watch with high grade gilt 15J Swiss lever, hand-wound movement from 1920-35, in a nickel case. Case The case is of nickel, measuring 49 mm in diameter (excluding top pendant). The case has a mark depicting a Bison on the inside of the rear cover and is in EXCELLENT overall condition. The case covers are all a good secure fit.Movement The high grade, gilt, pendant wound, 15 jewel Swiss lever movement is in EXCELLENT physical condition, runs well and keeps good time (within 1 minute a day or better). The movement is fitted with a hacking devise which starts and stops the second hand upon the pendant button being pushed in and pulled out half way. The movement has been serviced (on 30/11/11). Dial The white dial has the ANKRA and SEKUNDEN-STOPPER emblems and is in EXCELLENT condition. For completeness there are a couple of very small hairlines, one adjacent to 10 o'clock and the other at 5 o'clock. The watch hands are gold coloured and there is a sub-seconds dial at 6 o'clock with a matching hand. The applied hour markers are black Arabic numerals.
