EXCELLENT BROWN TRANSFERWARE PLATE ~ 1830 Description & Details STAFFORDSHIRE BROWN TRANSFERWARE PLATE Staffordshire, England 1830 This outstanding plate measures 7 " and is crisply transfer printed in a dark brown with a pearlware glaze. The plate has a wonderful scalloped edge and a border pattern of four vignettes of a romantic landscape each separated by panels of oversized Dahlia type flowers. The central image is of a man, woman and child in front of a magnificent villa with a lake and mountains in the distance. The plate displays beautifully. Very clean and bright. Condition is EXCELLENT, no wear, no chips, no cracks, no hairlines and no repairs.. Plates in this condition, contrast and composition is especially beautiful in this rich brown color.
