You are bidding on a GORGEOUS and SUPER CLEAN LANE ERA CHARATAN'S MAKE DISTINCTION FREEHAND shaped estate pipe. This CHARATAN has gorgeous 360 STRAIGHT AND FLAME GRAIN, BIRDSEYE COVERING THE HEEL AND CRISP, CLEAN RIM, and a chamber so clean you'd practically swear it was new! The original stem in great, mark free condition, with a barely visible CP stem stamp on an otherwise pristine, glassy stem. The chamber is perfectly smooth, round, and clean! All shank markings on this one are crisp, a compliment to it's gentle use. If this piece were any nicer, it would be new! THIS PIPE will serve you as a trusted friend for a lifetime! A beautiful example of the legendary English pipemaking tradition, from one of England's oldest and most collected brands. But don't take my word.... the pictures speak for themselves. This pipe also comes with a custom pipe sock to protect your investment. Markings : On the left of the shank, it is marked CHARATAN'S MAKE over LONDON ENGLAND over DISTINCTION with the florid LANE L on the bottom of the shank. It is marked MADE BY HAND over IN over CITY OF LONDON on the right of the shank. All stampings are crisp, a testament to the gentle handling of this wonderfully classy pipe. Dimensions : 6-5/16” long, 2-1/8" tall, 1-5/8" wide, and a 15/16" chamber opening.
