EXCELLENT ROYAL COPENHAGEN PORCELAIN FOX FIGURINE #437 Presented is a wonderful quality and large Royal Copenhagen figurine in the form of a fox. The fox is done in a charming pose with its nose pointed straight up, its ears raised, and its fluffy tail wrapped around its legs. This large figurine is beautifully hand crafted and painted under the glaze in brown, white and gray. The figurine is marked on the underside with the triple blue wave mark for Royal Copenhagen, the number 437 and Royal Copenhagen Denmark. T is a single cancel mark through the 3 wave mark. I do not understand why t is a cancel mark on this piece, I have looked it over top to bottom and can find absolutely no imperfections, no irregularities in the glaze, nor anything wrong with the decoration. Everything sure seems top notch to me. I have owned well over 2000 Copenhagen figures over 30 years so my opinion is based on more than just this single piece. The condition is excellent. T are no chips, no cracks, no crazing, no breaks, and no repairs. The figurine measures 4 1/2 inches by 5 inches and stands 10 3/8 inches tall.
