This is a particularly nice example of a Victorian Postal Balance complete with a full set of genuine Mordan weights from 8oz down to the 1/4oz with the proper 1/4oz plug weight as well. It is in splendid condition, balancing perfectly and a stunning display item. It has been carefully cleaned but not polished - if desired it would polish up beautifully. The base has a hole for each weight with all the original matching felt bottoms intact, although somewhat faded with age. The base measures 26 x 12.5cm and the balance stands 12cm high overall. It is quite heavy and, when packed, this item will be close to the 2kg limit for small packages, so our customary discount for combined packaging for multiple purchases will probably not be applicable this time. Paypal is the preferred form of payment and there is no charge for this service. Personal cheques, postal orders and bank drafts are acceptable but these may delay shipment while funds are cleared. All payments must be in UK Pounds. All goods will be very carefully packed and sent by first class post or airmail unless otherwise stated.
