Thank you and good luck !!!!This listing is for a wonderful and early Japanese lacquer miniature cabinet dating to the 19th century, late Edo to early Meiji period. The cabinet is decorated around the exterior with various trees on a hilly landscape. Detail in the work is exceptional as can be seen in the photos. Each petal on the trees has been inlaid with a silver and gold colored material. When the front door is opened it reveals three drawers that slide out. The cabinet measures 3.5 x 3 x 2.5 inches and displays well. Overall condition is good. The door is loose from the hinges with one hing missing. Also there are losses to the inlaid petals around the exterior which can be seen in the photos. We have included a photo of a similarly shaped miniature cabinet that recently sold in New York for $35,000.
