This superb authentic vintage Margot de Taxco sterling silver bracelet is one of her earliest pieces fully signed with her design number 5112. When Margot opened her own taller she gave all her designs a number begining with 5100 which makes this bracelet the twelfth piece she designed and produced. It is beautifully made with the high quality construction and unique style that Margot is famous for. It is crafted with thick sterling silver repousse and the design has a art deco feel with a stylized Aztec influence. It measures 7" long by 1" wide and is fully and correctly hallmarked "Margot de Taxco, Sterling Made in Mexico, eagle stamp 16, 5112". It is in superior vintage condition with a tight clasp and attached saftey chain. A wonderful bracelet created by one of the most famous Taxco silver artists and a real treasure for the fine jewelry collector. Margot de Taxco was a founding member of the taller Los Castillo along with her husband Antonio Castillo and his brothers. After their divorce Margot opened her own shop and began producing some of the most beautiful and unique jewelry in all of Taxco. She is considered to be one of the very few women "Silver Masters" and her jewelry is sought by collectors world wide. Her shop closed in the 1970's.
