I attended a sale of the contents of the estate of a titled Worcestershire lady last week & purchased a good selection of fine costume jewellery which I am listing over the next few days. I probably paid more than I should have but the quality & condition is really exceptional. It will be worth keeping an eye on my items over the next week. This is a very pretty ,nice quality old watch. The make is Renova, 17 jewels manual wind. I would date this to the fifties. I would say the condition is excellent vintage. There is a little rubbing to the gold plated outer case but not much. Most importantly the enamelling is in perfect condition & excellent quality. The other surprising thing about the watch is that it keeps good time. I have wound it & watched it for 2 days & it works fine. Obviously I can offer no guarantees for the future for such a old watch but it working well now. The chain is older than the watch possibly victorian, belcher type. There is a hallmark that I think says rolled gold. The chain is rubbed in patches but no damage & a strong clasp. It is a very pretty watch. 3cm across the centre the chain is 60cm long.
