Up for auction is a very nice mire court French 3/4 violinLe Marquis De L'AirdOiseaux anno .I brought this a few years back for my daughter who is now a grade 4 It cost me then £425.00 but it's been worth ever penny, she has earned 3 distinctions in her last 3 grades and I am sure it is a lot due to this violin.When her music teacher first heard the sound it made she was amazed.It is still in very good condition with only a few marks in the front and back,I have just recently had a new set of dominant strings fitted at a cost of £40 .It is a complete package ready to play with nice named bow and case.Winner will not be disappointed .I found an extract from an internet page about this violin..."Early 20th Century violin labelled and branded Marquis de l'air d'Oiseaux.Anno. Two-piece maple back with strong, narrow flame. Yellow-brown varnish. One of the higher quality violins made in Mirecourt. Warm, mature sound, with more power than a lot of full-size instruments.
