The experimental Model 1870 "Combination Screw Driver" tool was issued for use with the rifles being field tested during the 1871-72 Army trials. Despite being included in the Army's 1874 manual, this tool never became standard issue and is a rare item today. The tool is in near excellent condition with the original finish and has two screwdrivers, a band spring and tumbler punch and a mainspring clamp. Dimensions: Overall length 2 15/16", overall width 2 13/32". Please note that the USA USPS postage cost indicated does not include insurance. If you want this protection, please advise me via eBay message at the end of the auction and I will include the cost in my invoice. Insurance is not available for international shipments, although for a fee of $12.00 the US Post Office will register the shipment. This registration provides special handling and helps to ensure delivery to the addressee. International buyers should advise me if they want this service.
