This is an Original Ink Brush Drawing......Circa 1912-1918......by William Wauer 1866-1962......Well Noted German Expressionist ....size 10.25 x 14.50.ins.......signed with initials lower right......the backing has the Original label from ' Der Sturm ' Gallery......title appears to be ' Bruder [ Brothers ]......there are notations in pencil on reverse of Drawing......' Der Sturm ' was the first Gallery to show the early Expressionist works and the Owner ' Herwarth Walden ' was also Editor of ' Der Sturm ' Magazine.......there is much information on the Artist as well as ' Der Sturm ' and Herwarth Walden......prefer to ship without glass.....has original frame and backing.....the label is quite probably written in the hand of Herwarth Walden......there is some age toning, but no holes or tears...
