From an estate collection, a superb antique pair of diamond dangle earrings for pierced ears. What a timeless find! I don't know the exact age on these earrings but they are in perfect, as new condition. Each earring is 7/8 inch (23 mm) in length and together they weigh 4 grams. They are hallmarked (and have been tested) as 14K white gold. They are for pierced ears and the backs screw on - one of the original backs must have been lost as one is 14K yellow gold (which you cannot see when earrings are worn and it fits perfectly). The top part of each earring is pave set with four round cut diamonds (all the gemstones are natural diamonds and have been tested for authenticity) in a graduated pattern from largest on top to a tiny stone at the bottom (I would guess the largest one is .02 or .03 ct. going down to a chip at the very bottom). The bottom round dangle (which measures just over 7 mm. in diameter) is set with six round cut diamonds surrounding a larger round cut diamond in the middle. I am not a diamond expert but I would guess these are either European cut or modern round brilliant cut diamonds (not rose or mine cut). I am guessing by the millimeter measurement that the central diamond is .10 ct. and the surrounding diamonds are in the .03 to .04 to .05 ct. range each.
