We recently bought a large and very interesting collection of antique silver commemorative spoons and this auction is for what I believe to be a quite rare one, made to commemorate the death of Edward VII in 1910. The spoon has Birmingham hallmarks with the year date of 1910, the year of the King's death. The maker's initilas are L & S, I have not identified this manufacturer. The spoon, as you will see is extremely beautifully decorated, with a wonderful embossed picture of the late King to the bowl. It weighs 18g and is, I consider, in good, clean condition. Offered for sale without reserve and with FREE UK postage. read more
