This exquisite carved / etched cameo glass Czech perfume bottle is a recent consignment from a collector of fine antiques. This bottle came directly from Gablonz, Czechoslovakia from a factory that closed during WW1 as was reopened some time ago. They began by selling a luxury line of jewelry and perfume bottles. The perfume bottles are no longer offered and the stock is gone. This piece is from that original stock and is signed on the oval medallion on the brass filigree "CZECHO". It is a large bottle and measures 6" tall and 4" across the bottom. It is amethyst glass that is CUT to clear, some portions are satin, other are polished to clear. This is a CUT bottle, not molded. It is an exquisite bottle that took a skilled craftsman to create. It is in excellent vintage condition with no damage. No chips on the stopper. T are some fine scratches on the base but they do not detract. T is some roughness around the lip of the bottle but this looks to have occurred at the time of manufacture and is not chipped.
