Exquisite Victorian period design English silver triple photograph frame, the silver is of the finest quality. The Hallmarks are: Leopards Head Mark - London Assay Office Rare Britannia Mark - Only for finest silver items 999 Numerical Mark - Highest purity silver 99.9% Makers Mark: PVF Date letter Mark The silver is very finely embossed (see pics) with the William Morris acanthus design. The frame has a polished wooden back and strut enabling portrait photographs to be displayed, complete with a genuine moire watered silk lining. The finest purity unalloyed silver has a depth of colour not found on lower grade silver items. Unlike so many on eBay now, this silver frame is not mass produced abroad but beautifully hand made, using the finest materials by one of the best English silver frame makers: PVF.
