This is a listing for a beautiful pair of French vintage opera glasses by Lemaire Fabt Paris. The eyepieces are mother of pearl and are marked "LEMAIRE FABT PARIS” with the bee symbol. The opera glasses are silvered metal and mother of pearl. The handle is decorated in the same manner. When extended, it is marked on the silver piece "made in Paris" with the bee symbol as well. The condition is excellent. The silvered finish is in its original finish with little wear. The glasses have the typical optics of the period and the image is clear. The adjustment for range seems to work fine, goes up and down smoothly. I have NOT tried to clean these beyond with a damp cloth, they do need an overall cleaning as they were in a box for well over 50 years. There are initials on the front reading "G E W". A very pretty and elegant pair of Parisian made glasses.
