MAGNIFICENT Real Snow Leopard Cape Includes CITES CERTIFICATE issued by D.E.F.R.A dated 14th February 2011 This is your one chance to own one of the rarest, most desirable furs in the entire world... The elusive Mountain Snow Leopard of Central Asia. (Panthera Uncia) This beautiful cape is circa 1920s - 1940s and the sale includes the original CITES document to confirm this. This is a luxuriously soft and plush fur in grey and cream colouring with beautiful dark spotted markings.It has a silky salmon pink lining which has been stitched entirely by hand. It has a secret inside pocket too.The cape would look divine over an evening dress for any opulent occasionThe wrap is vintage yet retains fabulous condition for its age. The pelts are beautifully light and supple with super soft and plush fur. The lining has slightly dirtied with age and one of the hook fastenings has fallen off at the collar. There is still a hook and eye fastening to the chest.There are no signs of shedding, balding or splits and absolutely no vintage / musty odur. A cape will usually fit most sizes but I would say no larger than a UK size 14. Laid flat and fastened it measures approximately 18" across at the very top of the shoulders, 26" across the chest, 22" from the back of the neck to the hem. The hem measures 60 inches.
