WHAT A LOVELY MID 19th CENTURY SMALL SET OF BERRY SPOONS. EACH IS OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY. And of a good weight and in a great design too. Here we have an early and most useable small lot of 3 solid silver hallmarked provincial spoons of good gauge and weight.Hallmarks are deep and clear. Each is a very special and eye catching piece indeed.. Assayed in Exeter and dated 1860-year letter D.Makers are James and Josiah Williams.This assay office closed in 1883. Their length is quite large at 6 inches. These lovely items are of exceptional quality and each is a most delightful piece of antique table silver. This embossing to the bowl is known as a berry spoon and each is a lovely example....it is uncommon to find teaspoons like this as it occurs normally in serving spoons. Weight of actual silver is a good 74 grams (2.38 troy ounces),each piece is made of thick gauge silver throughout. The condition is very good and they have plenty of life left in them yet. Please note that i have listed many other good items of both modern and antique silver,please do have a look. A truly beautiful,special and most wonderful rare set of silver of a most useable size.
