As an award winning member of the Charatan Pipe Society and an owner of over 75 Charatan pipes, I think I am a good judge of these fine beauties. Just because I am trying to earn money to use at the upcoming CORPS Show, I am letting this one go. I have smoked it maybe 3 times so my loss is your gain. The lack of a Lane stamp and having a saddle bit, not a double comfort bit dates this pipe in the 1950's or 60's, almost 50 years old and hardly smoked!! Look at the pictures, it is incredible in size and grain. T are no issues with this pipe, it looks brand new. The picture shows the size compared to a Dunhill ODA 835. It is a big pipe: bowl height is 2 3/8 in., rim diameter is 1 5/8 in., tobacco chamber is 15/16 in.. overall length about 6 7/8 inches. T are NO dings, scratches, shop wear or tooth marks anyw! Bid with confidence and fill it with some fine old English on me!
