ESTATE FIND Gorgeous Original Antique Victorian Silk Embroidered Shawl Piano Scarf Throw Today I have for your viewing this gorgeous antique extra large embroidered silk piano scarf, throw.I have been buying and collecting vintage clothing for over 40 years and this is one of nicest silk piano shawls I have had the privledge of owning. The shawl is approx. 60" inches square with extra long approx. 21"inch silk tied fringe on all four sides.The colors that make up the designs of embroidered flowers on the shawl are bright and bold.Pictures do not do this piece justice.I am not sure if it is hand embroidered or if it is machine embroidered with colorful multi colored silk threads.Every color of the rainbow and beyond has been used when making this antique beauty.It has a crocheted or rather tied hem with impossibly long 21"inch silk fringe on all four sides.This shawl is in very beautiful condition. No holes or damage to the shawl that I could see. I only seen one small faint spot in the top corner of the shawl, and I am sure it will probably come out easily. I have done nothing to this piece. I have not cleaned it, I will leave that up to the buyer. It has been in storage for many years from this estate so, I am sure you will want to have it cleaned and or freshened to your own specifications. Besides a piano scarf draped over the piano, a table in a room or bed. Could also make an excellent wall hanging or shawl over your favorite evening dress.If you have any questions please ask before bidding. The lady that had this estate that these items came out of, in her estate, she put many items away years ago, her daughter said, that she bought, never to see some of them again. She bought so much jewelry and other things and then just put them away in storage. Most of the time never even wearing them or seeing the items again, until I got the estate. Some of the pieces of jewelry that is coming out of this estate still has the original tags left on them.Be sure to look at the photographs really well because it shows the condition better than I can describe it.
