EXTREAMLY RARE LLADRO FIGURINE "RUNNING OSTRICHES" c1963. THIS IS NOT A NAO FIGURE BUT ONE OF THE VERY FIRST EDITIONS THAT LLADRO OF SPAIN EVER MADE!!! THE MARKING IS IMPRESSED INTO THE PORCELAIN AND IT IS NOT STAMPED.THIS IS A MUST HAVE FOR ANY SERIOUS LLADRO COLLECTOR.THERE ARE NOT MANY OF THESE AROUND AS YOU CAN SEE IF YOU TRY TO DO ANY HOMEWORK ON THIS BEAUTIFUL PIECE. IT IS IN PERFECT CONDITION AND STANDS A TALL 9.5" AND IS 8" IN WIDTH. READ BELOW TO SEE A PROFESSIONAL OPINION OF THIS EXCEPTIONALLY RARE LLADRO PIECE "The running ostriches were designed in 1963. They were literally one of the first Lladro pieces. The design was retired in 1980. It's not that uncommon to find the ostriches, but most of what you currently find are the "later" pieces from around the 1970s. You can actually find these all over Ebay. They estimate around $100 to about $400.The RARITY comes in that it's harder to find the ORIGINAL EDITIONS. Based on my records, the early edition of the ostriches generally estimate in the range of $2300 to about $3100. Given the age it's entirely possible it could sell for closer to the original estimate of $4000." Please see pictures and feel free to ask questions.
