EXTREMELY RARE CENTURI ENEJET 1340 SOUNDING ROCKET In order to showcase the ability of their Enerjet engines, Centuri introduced a line of sounding rockets. All of the rockets featured payload sections where a scientist or engineer could place some instrumentation to determine any number of things (e.g., the number or composition of airborne particulates at altitude). The 1340 featured here is the baseline kit. Others included the 1340-20, which featured a larger payload section, as well as the 2250 and the 2650, which were clustered rockets. These kits were marketed to colleges, universities, and professional scientists. They really weren't designed for the average rocketeer at the time. The only other 1340 kit I have ever seen on eBay was offered back in February/March of this year by another seller.
