This is an extremely rare original photograph of six USAF Liberator bombers en-route to Germany in September 1944, pictured low over the East Anglian coast before heading out over the North Sea. Three others are partly in view to the left and right of the photograph. The photograph is approximately 5½ inches square, with the following printed in white at the foot of the image: "0002 P 16/NE 18 September '44. F/14. FARN." It is slightly wrinkled and creased, but is still in Very Good condition.
