Iridescent Calcite Keokuk Geodeclosed geode dimensions: 1-7/8 in X 1-1/2 in X 1-1/8 inweight: 1.8 ozCrystalline beauty is what Keokuk geodes are all about! - This small geode is a gorgeous example of my favorite type - iridescent brown calcite. Brown pseudocubic calcite crystals have goethite inclusions making them iridescent, in this fine example, the brown calcite crystals reflect gold hues off of its crystals' faces. A later grown of equally lustrous clear calcite crystals formed atop the brown. This exceptional small geode was found in Lewis County, Missouri.I specialize in top quality, mineralized Midwestern USA Geodes.My passion is collecting, buying, trading, and selling these geodes.
