Extremely rare Lockheed Martin F-35B Lightning II Short Take-Off/Vertical Landing (STOVL) 1/48th scale model. This A-W-E-S-O-M-E-(!) model is brand new, in the box. This model is a limited edition issue. The manufacturer/distributor's stock is low. When they're gone that's it! T are no plans to make any more. If you want one you'd better grab it! Unique features: the aircraft is displayed in the STOVL mode with the liftfan, roll post, and auxilliary air inlet doors open and the engine nozzle in the down STOVL-mode position. a clear cockpit with pilot figure wearing the F-35 Helmet Mounted Display System (HMDS). The F-35's active matrix screen is also visible. The model measures 13 inches from nose to tail with a wingspan of 8.75 inches. The model and base are made of sturdy plastic, not resin or mahogany.
