For sale here is a nice original Vintage Theatrical Dress / Costume . Probably dated from the 1940s / 50s from the look and feel of the material. Unlabelled - Handmade for a theatrical / stage production. A small fitted shape - Approx. a size 6 / 8 . The mannequin it is photographed on is a size 10 - 34 bust and the dress will not fasten up at the back ( see photos ) . Its a Medieval Rennaissance style in heavy shiny silk style fabric A Pretty floral motif on a Green and cream Stripe design background. Its got Faux fur trimming around the neck. Short cap puff sleeves. A Full floor length style with a high Empire line waist. There is a 12 button back fastening. A nice bow detail at the back as well . When laid flat it measures approx. 16" ( 32" ) across the bust section armpit to armpit. Its approx. 54" long . Used condition and needs some repair and reworking. There are also Three or Four brown stains on the dress - one on the left sleeve - the rest on the skirt They look as though they have been there years and may not come out . A Pretty and interesting dress though - worth putting some work into . ( There is also a similar Theatrical dress listed - the same size ) . UK only - The buyer pays £4.00 P&P
