For auction is a very well executed 19th century signed landscape featuring a young boy and girl in center stage, with the boy holding a bird with nest resting in his lap as the young girl is observing. The entire landscape and background gives you the feeling that you are there with them. The painting is signed in the lower left area ( see photo) but is illegible. The painting in a very ornate frame measures approx. 36"h. x 31"w. with an image size approx. 29 1/2" x 24 1/2". There is a tear in the canvas measuring approx. 2 inches long in the area of the sky ( see photo) that can be very easily repaired professionally. On the bottom left towards center there are very small spots where light paint touch up is needed. The landscape is lifelike in detail and will make a fine addition to any art collection.
