Marvelous carnival carousel etching from 1923 by the well listed American artist, Thomas Handforth (1897-1948). Handforth's graphic work is held by most major American Museums. This piece is signed in pencil in the lower right margin: Thomas Handforth. Signed and dated in the plate: Handforth 1923. Numbered in pencil in the lower left: 2nd State 57/75. Printed on laid Arches paper. The printed image measures 7 by 10 inches. The sheet is 11 by 15. A clever surreal/expressionist work. You've got to love the cow horses. A mythological reference perhaps? In all events, a fine etching by this graduate of the Art Students League in New York. Please ask any questions you may have; I'd be happy to answer. Shipping is a flat $19.50 to any of the lower 48 States. That's USPS Priority Mail. Well packaged. I value the things I sell.
