Fabulous Carvd Ruby Rare Bakelite Color Change Bracelet All Bakelite is Simichrome & 409 tested. This is a down right drop dead gorgeous ruby red color changer carved to death hinged bracelet. It is guaranteed to be genunie vintage Bakelite! I have seen and sold a lot of Bakelite but have never ever seen a bracelet like this one. Check out the photos and you will see a small dotted lighter color of bakelite in a pattern all over the bracelet. This is not a defect this is how the bracelet was made. The bracelet is a beautiful deep ruby red color but when you hold it up to the light you can see the beauty unfold. T is (1) thing i did want to mention. The clasp spring does not have any spring to it any more & it is still tight & strong, but the hinge pin shows rust on it so over the years it just must have given away. If you are skilled and have an extra hinge you can change it out. It is a good idea to have some bracelet parts in reserve for this. Also a jeweler should be able to change out the hinge. I feel this would not in any way devalue the bracelet. I had no idea this was a color changer bracelet untill i started taking pics for this auction and i just held it up to the light looking at it and then the whole story unfolded. I was so excited about it. I know you collectors will appreicate this rare piece! Don't let this one get away, it is fabulous!
